The IGS Young Members Committee is excited to announce two fantastic opportunities for students and young geosynthetics professionals and students attending EuroGeo8:
IGS Open Student Award
Eligibility: IGS members (no age limit) who are:
• Current students
• Recent graduates (between 2022 and 2025)
This award was established to disseminate knowledge and to improve communication and understanding in the field of geosynthetics. The winner will receive up to USD 1000 (to be used to cover travel expenses), free registration to the conference and the gala dinner and will be recognized for his/her achievement during the closing ceremony of the conference.
To apply for IGS Open Student Award, you must either complete the following Google Form. The form contains all the detailed rules and requirements.
IGSF Travel Grants
Eligibility:
• IGS Young Members (under 36 years old at the time of the conference)
These grants, supported by the IGS Foundation, aim to support young professionals in attending Eurogeo8, fostering networking and knowledge exchange in the geosynthetics community. IGS Young Members incurring travel expenses exceeding USD 500 are eligible to apply for travel grants. Approximately 10 awards, each up to USD 1000, will be allocated.
